Information Specialists Ltd (Infospecs) supports Inmagic Inc’s database software in New Zealand. DB/TextWorks is widely used for managing special collections in libraries, museums and archival organisations and can be easily customised to an organisation’s requirements. Infospecs provides consulting services in database design and content management and has also developed E-Museum, an ‘off the shelf’ database application for cataloguing collections.

Many organisations using DB/TextWorks have published their collections on the Web using Inmagic’s DB/Text WebPublisher PRO.  At the Imperial War Museum in London, their extensive collections of objects, art, film, photographs and sound are available for online searching. Essays on historical themes which automatically retrieve selected records from the collections can also be browsed.
